Denise Oukhaba - Textile Artist

A local textile artist born in Hebden Bridge, Denise went to Percival Whitley College in Halifax for an art and design foundation, then did the art and design degree at Bradford & Ilkley Community College.

Currently a self employed artist and provider of art & craft activities, as well as a Family art and craft, K’Nex and Parenting skills tutor for Adult Learning in Calderdale.

Denise and the kidz art club she runs at South Square, Thornton were responsible for “Morph” the giant spider and web in the last Hebden Bridge sculpture trail.

With Family Learning Denise is currently working with seven Todmorden primary schools to produce a “wall hanging” which will hang in each school for a month, then be displayed in the Todmorden children’s centre.
